Second Painting Complete!

Did this for more practice for a guild mate in Guild Wars 2. This is their character known as Myrmie. I'm definitely seeing improvement and progress, but there's always more to learn. Hopefully I can keep getting better with each piece!

Blowing Kiss

I did this as an entry for the Valentine's Day community showcase for Guild Wars 2. It's a painting of my human necromancer and it's been a learning process all the way through. I've never tried fully painting digitally, but I've always been interested. This has been a huge leap versus my normal art style, and I feel I've finally broken out of my barrier.
Huge thanks to KejaBlank and KingKaijuice on DeviantArt for teaching me so much about choosing colors and what they mean. I've learned a lot about shading and what colors to pick as well as lighting. I've learned about different brush strokes and techniques. I've learned of the effectiveness of a background no matter how simple it is. There's so much I've been taught and thanks to them tutoring and guiding me, I've managed to complete this. I'll continue practicing and hope to get better.

Pokemon Gijinka - Tyranitar

Someone asked me recently if I was interested in drawing gijinkas and I had no idea what that was. After looking it up, I found that a gijinka is the humanization or personification of an animal. Generally it's drawn as fan art of characters from anime or video games.

So after having learned this, I decided I would try to draw a gijinka of my favorite monsters, Pokemon! Here's my try at a Tyranitar gijinka.

Asha Kali Drawing

Here's a piece I did as a request for a user on DeviantArt. She's an assassin named Asha Kali who works for a mysterious syndicate called Children of Indra. She's the best at what she does and her signature is to leave a marking on her victims tongue. She also wears purple :3

This was made in Krita just like my last post. I'm getting better with it and it's getting easier to use. It really is just a problem at first when changing the settings and brushes to your preferences.

First Drawing Using Krita

I heard of Krita from an indie game developer blog and decided to try it out. I find it looks similar to Photoshop, but it has some very unique features. It can be a bit of a hassle to set up and rearrange the layout how you like, as well as setting up brushes. But after everything is ready to go, you unleash your creative mind while also being very efficient. This here is my first finished drawing using the program and I must say, it's slowly working its way to being my favorite.
